Grow baby grow!

Bo officially had his 1 month birthday a few weeks back, we celebrated with the whole Campbell crew and a visit to Morgantown.  His stats are looking good! Weighing in at 11pds 7ounces and 23 3/4 inches long - he is pretty off the charts with his growth, and Dr. Lambert was happy to see he is doing so well. He is keeping mom busy with round the clock nursing and snuggling. But she was happy to see the hard work paying off.  He is starting to grow out of his baby alien phase and into a little dude with a personality. Making little noises, starting to smile at our faces and is in love with his big sister!  Our visit from the Campbell crew was so fun, getting to meet his Aunt Katie and Uncle Kevie for the first time. We also got a chance to celebrate their birthdays and do some hard work in the backyard. Yay for Kevin!  Willie got a special trip with Baba and Aunt Katie to see her first theatrical performance, Beauty and the Beast.   Willie has a new bi

Here comes my baby

We thought we had another week... well we didn't. Seems baby Campbell 2.0 had another idea on April 26th. Heidi headed out to her 39 week doctor appointment with nothing new to report to her midwives. No contractions, barely any Braxton hicks, this baby felt like it was in it for the long haul, just like their sister. We all assumed it would be well after the 2nd that this baby would show up.   Comparison of 39 weeks with baby Campbell 2.0 and Willie in 2015   Willie and Matt at the sibling class at the hospital, we went to 3 days before Bo arrived. Barely made it!  Heidi went out for a walk, as she had been trying to do daily to keep her mind at ease as she waited for the babies arrival. Typically calling her mom for a quick check in, "No baby today mom" was the constant conversation. When she got back though, things started to feel a bit off. Matt happened to be home that day as they got the AC fixed in the attic and thankfully fix the hallway bathroo

Baby Boy Bo on the Scene

Bo's arrival, a note from Matt  H ello f amily and friends, We are happy to announce the birth of a healthy little boy, Paul Bowman Campbell. "Bo" was born on Thursday, April 27 at 12:46 p.m. at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He is 8 lbs. 4 oz. and measures 22" long. And we think he is pretty neat. We've included a picture below. Heidi started having contractions on Wednesday night and labored through Thursday morning. After some cues, we headed to the hospital and  one hour later  (you read that right), Bo was born. Heidi was calm and composed -- it was truly a wonder.  Some of Bo's family will be meeting him tomorrow—"BaBa" (Jeanine Campbell), Grammy and Grampy (Robin & Jim Hecht), and Aunt Penny Hawkins. And, most importantly, his big sister, Wilhelmina (2.5 years old), will be meeting him for the first time as well. Tonight, Willie is being watched by some good friends (we hear "Frozen" is on the playlist

Campbell...party of four??

The adjustment to a family of four...is turning out to be fun, challenging and unpredictable. We headed home from the hospital to a house full of happy family - Heidi's parents and sister and Matt's mom were all there to welcome Bo home.  Willie was also there, ready to adjust to her new role as a big sister. The first few weeks have shown that she is taking very well to being a big sis. Helping with bath time, changing diapers and finally giving Bo lots of hugs and kisses.  We were happy to have Heidi's mom, Robin here, for a whole week after Bo's arrival. We put her to work helping keep up with lots of laundry, snuggles with Bo and bath times with Willie. We can't wait to see her again later this summer!  Bo is growing like a weed. He is already up close to 10 pounds at a check in at 3 weeks and all is looking good. He is seeing Willie's doctor too, Dr Lambert, who is happy to hear how well his big sister is taking care of him. Heidi has been walk
